EastEnders signs up 2point4 Children and Casualty star Julia Hills as new choir leader Morag

Julia Hills, best known for her role in BBC sitcom 2Point4 Children, will join the long-running soap in the coming weeks.

Guest-starring as larger-than-life choir leader Morag, the singer will upset some characters with her bossy and brash personality.

Attempting to lead Walford’s Christmas choir to victory in a local competition, she quickly finds herself on the wrong side of some residents.

Morag makes her first appearance when Ian Beale attends choir rehearsals.

Hoping to bump into his ex-wife Mel, who he’s still holding a torch for, Ian takes a seat ready for the session.

Viewers might recognise actress Julia Hills in her role as Rona Harris, the sex-crazed neighbour in the BBC’s hit show, 2Point4 Children.

Appearing on the show’s eight series run, the talented actress also played all of the women and some of the male characters in the Channel 4 comedy series Who Dares Wins.

Julia also appeared on Casualty between 2004 and 2005, and is also known for playing Annabelle Scrivener in the BBC 4 Radio show The Archers.
