EastEnders has given fans a glimpse at the romance that is about to spark between Sharon Mitchell and Keanu Taylor in a new trailer teasing what’s coming up on the BBC One soap.
In the short, 20-second teaser posted on the soap’s official Twitter page, we see Sharon become flustered as a battered and bruised Keanu takes off his shirt in her kitchen, and later consoles her when she’s feeling down.
“Phil’s right,” she tells Keanu. “I’m a complete failure.”
“I think they’re both very lucky to have you,” Keanu replies as he takes Sharon’s hand and the couple appear to share some meaningful looks.
It was recently revealed that Sharon will be embarking on a fling with the young mechanic – made all the more complicated by the fact that Keanu currently works for Sharon’s husband Phil, and Phil confirmed tonight (August 10) that he’s still got a touch of the old, terrifying Phil Mitchell about him when he needs it.
In a big week for Keanu (Danny Walters), he will grow closer to Sharon, after Phil unwittingly throws them together more than once.
With the Mitchell couple struggling to fix their broken sink, Phil will send Keanu over to help Sharon – where he ends up getting soaked in water.

That isn’t all though, as Keanu could also find himself coming to Sharon’s aid when she fears her son Denny has run into danger.
Keanu is aware that Dennis has become embroiled with a dangerous gang and will therefore be worried when he spots some commotion at The Arches.
It’s not long before Keanu finds himself in over his head as he tries to help, so we’re not too sure about the likelihood of any of this ending well, really. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
