EastEnders‘ Rainie Cross will prepare to leave Walford next week as her problems with Max Branning come to a head.
Rainie (Tanya Franks) has tied the knot with Max as a secret business arrangement but is secretly hoping that it could become something more.
However, Rainie will be left devastated in upcoming scenes when she realises that Max (Jake Wood) has told his brother Jack the truth about their sham marriage, leading her to question how he really feels about her.
As things between the pair get heated, Stacey Fowler decides to step in after spotting all the commotion and offers Max some advice in the process.
Max’s chat with Stacey prompts him to re-evaluate his feelings for Rainie, but he may have missed his chance anyway as she’s decided that she needs a fresh start away from him.
Although Max does try his best to put things right with Rainie, she’s having none of it and packs her bags to leave.
Realising what Rainie is planning, Jack implores Max to fight for her, but will he listen? Or is this the end of the road for Max and Rainie?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday, September 14 at 8pm on BBC One.
