Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden reveals Strictly has left her struggling to walk and in constant pain

The 59-year-old businesswoman took part in the 2013 series of Strictly, partnered with Robin Windsor.

She lasted five weeks, with Abbey Clancy eventually winning the series – but she says she’s been left with lasting damage.

Speaking to Closer magazine, she said: “I still have permanent pain in the balls of my feet, which is a constant reminder that I did the show. It started after I spent ten hours a day waltzing and I put too much pressure on them.

“Everybody is injured in some way (on the show) but now I need to have steroid injections in my feet to keep them supple.

“I should probably have them every six weeks, but I leave it until they hurt too much and then I go to see my specialist, who tells me off for letting it get to that stage."

Despite her pain, the Dragons' Den star still dances for two hours a week to keep in shape.

She also insists that she’s proud of aging gracefully and would never have Botox, even though she gets trolled for her appearance.

“I look in the mirror and I see lines, but I have earned those lines,” she said. “It has taken me 59 years to get them and I’m not losing them now.”

Deborah is best known for her role on Dragons' Den, which she took on in 2003.

She is currently the highest investor on the show by average, investing over £3million in nearly 70 projects.
