Dermot O’Leary forced to apologise to This Morning viewers over location blunder

This Morning host apologises for embarrassing slip up

Dermot O’Leary was quick to point out that the location given during Laura Hamilton’s competition segment was incorrect.

A Place in the Sun star Laura had been presenting the latest competition available to viewers.

She wasn’t far from the festival-goers at Glastonbury, as Dermot and co-host Alison Hammond had pointed out earlier in the show.

Following one competition advert, Alison told viewers: “Best of luck,” but Dermot seemed distracted.

He remarked: “Thank you – apologies for the typo there as well everyone!”

He continued: “Because it said West Midlands and she’s actually in Somerset…”

“I was about to ask to pop over,” Brummie Alison joked before adding: “But no, it’s about an hour and a half from my house.”

“Yeah that was a typo, so apologies for that,” Dermot repeated before thanking Laura.

Moving on from the awkward blunder, Alison brought attention to the next topic.

The show also suffered a mishap earlier in the month when Holly Willoughby was caught off-guard on-camera.

The programme showed Josie Gibson who was live on a canal boat speaking about ITV’s competition.

However, the hosts clearly didn’t realise they were still live on air soon after as Holly could be heard giggling.

Co-host Craig Doyle picked up the food in front of them while Holly remained in hysterics and demanded Craig to: “Put it down!”
