Denise Van Outen winces and clutches shoulder in pain in Dancing on Ice debut

Veteran TV personality Denise Van Outen struggled during her first performance on Dancing on Ice tonight as she could be seeing holding her injured shoulder and wincing in pain.

The star suffered a nasty fall in rehearsals which led to a partly dislocated shoulder, but while Denise was terrified she wouldn’t be able to carry on with the ITV show, the doctors told her she was allowed to soldier on.

Yet despite hours and hours of practice in the studio with her professional skating partner Matt Evers, Denise found it tough to deliver her best performance.

The star hesitated on the floor as the song Proud Mary by Tina Turner came to an end, and it seemed to be difficult for her to get back up as she rubbed her sore shoulder.

Asked how she coped by presenters Holly and Phil, Denise replied: “It’s a little bit sore but I think I’ve got so much adrenaline I couldn’t really feel it.

“I’ll be honest I’m more concerned as I haven’t shaved my armpits in four days!” the star laughed.
