David Walliams has responded to Dominic Cummings’ controversial address to the nation after allegedly breaking coronavirus lockdown rules with a hilarious Little Britain clip.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge shared the funny throwback on social media, with the one-minute video featuring his character Sir Norman Fry issuing a statement to the press regarding an embarrassing situation of misadventure.
‘More from Dominic Cummings…’, David wrote alongside the iconic scene from the BBC comedy.
Sir Norman was a regular character from series three and often delivered ineffective speeches with his wife Camilla (played by Matt Lucas), and their two children at his side.
Stood outside his country manor, Sir Norman began: ‘I have a statement I would like to read. On Tuesday night, following a late meeting with party headquarters, I decided to go for a relaxing drive through the Kings Cross area.

‘Whilst there, I saw a rather young Rastafarian gentleman on the side of the road. As one of my constituents, I felt it was my duty to stop and offer him a lift.
‘No matter how many times I watch, this never gets old,’ added another. ‘Too funny.’
Mr Cummings has become the centre of a political storm after it emerged he had taken a 260-mile trip with his son and symptomatic wife to his parent’s home in Durham.
This was despite strict Government lockdown rules forbidding non-essential journeys and requiring people with signs of Covid-19 to self-isolate at home.
Mr Cummings first travelled to Durham with his wife and son at the end of March, stating at a televised press conference on Monday that he was sure he had contracted the virus at the time. He claimed the couple had no ulterior child care in London, and so travelled to be close to his parents and sister.
He also admitted making another trip to Barnard Castle on April 12, despite lockdown restrictions then preventing the public from leaving their home for anything other than essential travel, such as food shopping, exercising nearby or going to work.
Mr Cummings said he made the 30-mile journey to the castle to test his eyesight, in preparation for his journey back to London in the coming days. He denied returning to Durham after arriving in London on April 14.
