David Walliams looks different with bushy beard after stepping down from Britain's Got Talent | The Sun

DAVID Walliams has shown off his rugged new look after stepping down as a judge on Britain's Got Talent.

The TV star looked world's away from his old look as he sported a thick grey beard after being replaced by former Strictly Come Dancing star Bruno Tonioli.

David, 51, decided to step down from his position at Britain's Got Talent after a decade on screens alongside Simon Cowell.

The announcement came just after he was forced to apologise for foul-mouthed comments about contestants.

A source told The Sun at the time: "He hasn’t taken the decision lightly, but it just feels like time to move on."

It's since been revealed that David is being replaced by former Strictly judge and Italian choreographer Bruno, 67.

Here’s why David Walliams decided to leave Britain’s Got Talent

David looked to have switched up his look after deciding not to return to the judging panel for the new series, which has already begun filming.

Spotted out in London, the comedian turned children's writer showed off his bushy beard and greying hair.

He kept it casual in a green shirt and brown jacket, as he looked downcast heading towards his parked vehicle.

David stepped down from the show last year, ten years after first appearing on BGT back in 2012 on the judging panel.

An insider revealed: "His team have quietly been having conversations over the past few days where it has been made clear that David is readying himself to step down.

"His exit might not be popular with fans who adore him, but for David it appears that now, after an amazing ten years on the show, it is the right time to move on."

It has since been revealed that Bruno will fill his spot next to Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon.

However, it was revealed the former Strictly star already caused "chaos" on his second day on the set.

Audience members claimed he “didn’t understand the rules” after The Sun told how he broke them on the first day by pressing the Golden Buzzer mid performance.

Under normal circumstances the judges on the ITV1 show only do this after they've delivered their audition.
