David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) is about to make a colossal mistake in Emmerdale which is going to make everything so much worse in the wake of Maya Stepney’s (Louise Clein) attack – but what will be the cost as his drastic action leads to dire consequences.
Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) is horrified to learn that Maya has been assaulted and he instantly blames his dad, who is visited and interviewed by PC Swirling. After speaking to the police, David confronts Maya at the hospital and the pair end up in a slanging match.
When PC Swirling intervenes, Maya eventually admits that it was actually a random woman who attacked her and PC Swirling escorts David out – but he is horrified to clock Jacob heading to see Maya. As his fury simmers, a further confrontation with Jacob leads to Jacob making a massive revelation about his dad.
David despairs as friends and loved ones turn their backs on him in the wake of this and, not thinking straight, he then does something that makes everything spiral out of control.
Is he about to ruin any chances of justice? And could he end up losing Jacob for good as a result of his actions?
