The EastEnders hardman, 41, actually kicked off his career in a 1993 episode of Prime Suspect alongside Helen Mirren.
In the short clip a sullen teenage Danny can be seen with a roughed up face and long greasy black hair.
He is seen playing teen tearaway Martin Fletcher, who is being interrogated by Oscar winner Helen's DCI Jane Tennison.
Prime Suspect was the actor's first gig, and after proving his talent, he has since enjoyed a long carreer in both TV and film.
Other telly jobs have included roles in Cadfael, A Touch of Frost, Loved Up, Thief Takers, Soldier Soldier, Casualty, Hollyoaks Later and Skins – as well as enjoying a hugely successful film career.
Some of his most memorable projects include the films The Football Factory, The Business and Doghouse.
Nowadays though, he's best-known for playing Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in EastEnders.
Meanwhile, last week Danny added fuel to the fire that he is doing a reality show with his daughter Dani and her boyfriend Jack Fincham.
Rumours swirled that the soap actor and his Love Island star offspring were being eyed for a Dyer family series.
During an interview with Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold he confirmed they were in talks about the show, he said: "We're going to go and have some meetings about it and we're going to see how we feel about it.
"It could be brilliant, or it could be a car crash. We're not just selling our souls to the devil, do you know what I mean?
"We're going to do (something) credible."
