Danny Dyer bags his own TV show exploring Royal history where he’ll live like a King for the day

The EastEnders actor has royal blood after discovering he's related to Edward III and William the Conqueror.

And the shock revelation on Who Do You Think You Are? has led him to starring in a new BBC history series to find out about his ancestors' lives.

He will eat, dress and live like royalty in the new two-part series, Danny Dyer's Right Royal Family.

Even his daughter Dani – who won Love Island – will get involved by getting dressed up in 14th century armour.

Danny told the BBC: "I'm still in shock at the fact that I'm related to such important people.

"I've had a ball getting to know them. It was a nutty experience."

The show will retell 800  years of British history exploring Danny's "extraordinary bloodline".

The revelation comes after it was confirmed that Danny wouldn't be appearing in a family reality show alongside daughter Dani or her boyfriend Jack Fincham.

EastEnders actor Danny’s daughter, Dani, was seen falling for Jack in front of the cameras in Majorca this summer.

But her famous father is not ready to join her and the rest of their family for their own series.

She told the Metro: "So yeah, I wanted to put the record straight on this one. Jack and me are filming something for ITVBe at the moment, while we’re being followed around by cameras.

"I can’t tell you much more than that for now but hopefully the people who followed and supported us on Love Island will enjoy it.

"My family aren’t involved – so there aint no big Kardashian type show coming up with the Dyers, sorry to disappoint. Don’t think my dad’s ready for that yet!"
