Finishing the line-up is a sour faced Shirley, perfectly cast as Scary Spice – and the thunderous look on her chops suggests that she might be even less enthusiastic than Mick.
Having seemingly borrowed some of her get up from Kat Moon’s (Jessie Wallace) wardrobe, Shirley reluctantly tags along – but maybe she will eventually get into the spirit.
The Spice Girls wannabes attend the concert – and who knows, perhaps the real deal can come face to face with them in an EastEnders cameo.
If anyone can persuade The Spice Girls to make an appearance in the BBC’s flagship soap, then it’s boss Kate Oates.
The scenes will air later on in the spring and will be a welcome bit of light relief for a family that has endured not much but misery for the past couple of years.
And there was you thinking EastEnders was too dark…
