‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Won Over Celebs, Based on These Tweets

The box office numbers for “Crazy Rich Asians” sent a clear message during its opening week, but so too did some of the movie’s very high-profile fans on Twitter.
With all the buzz around the Jon M. Chu-directed rom-com ahead of its release, we’re not surprised that the frenzy has continued now that the film is in theaters. The movie has been the talk of the industry, and numerous big names in Hollywood have been loudly singing its praises. From what we’ve seen, a ton of celebrities saw “Crazy Rich Asians” during its opening week — and they loved it.
Actors and actresses with all different backgrounds and resumes found time to both watch and tweet about the rom-com. Glowing reviews came from Reese Witherspoon, Dwayne Johnson, Mindy Kaling, and more. Check them out:

“Crazy Rich Asians” is based on Kevin Kwan’s 2013 novel of the same name. It centers on Rachel (Constance Wu) and Nick (Henry Golding), a young couple that encounters a host of relationship obstacles when they go to Singapore to attend the wedding of one of Nick’s closest friends. The rom-com is the first Hollywood film in decades to feature a predominantly Asian, and its box office performance has already been hailed as a win for diversity. The numbers and tweets don’t lie — people are loving it so far.
