Corrie’s Tyrone to ‘take Ruby from Fiz’ as fans predict custody battle heartache

Coronation Street fans are convinced Tyrone Dobbs will take his daughter Ruby from Fiz Brown's care, and move her into his new home.

During Wednesday's episode, Fiz (Jenny McAlpine) threatened to take custody of the girls, claiming his new girlfriend Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) was a danger to her children.

Tyrone (Alan Halsall) called over at number nine and lost his temper, lashing out at Fiz and saying the words that would hurt her the most – he pointed out Ruby wasn't her biological daughter.

Ruby's mum is Tyrone's ex Kirsty Soames, a violent police officer who abused him during their relationship, only for Fiz to rescue him.

Fiz has since loved Ruby as her own daughter, raising the youngster and Hope – her biological daughter from her previous relationship with John Stape – with Tyrone by her side.

However, watching Wednesday's episode play out, Corrie fans predicted Tyrone would take Ruby from Fiz, seizing his own daughter as their split becomes venomous.

One Twitter user wrote: "Ruby is your daughter Tyrone. And so is that house. So kick them two awful women out and reclaim it back #Corrie."

"Fizz and Tyrone aren't married and Ruby is his child, so she should be living with him…..#Corrie," added a second.

And a third claimed: "Tyrone just needs to go get Ruby, and leave Fiz and Hope to it."

Evelyn Plummer managed to speak some sense to Fiz, informing her no one wins in a custody battle – especially not the children.

Fiz seemed to be coming around to the idea, realising she needed to put the girls first and forget her resentment for Tyrone's betrayal.

Unfortunately, one quick look at her bank statement sent all good intentions out the window, and she headed straight to find lawyer Adam Barlow.

Fiz revealed Tyrone had been taking money from their family's joint account and assumed he had splashed out on lawyers' fees for an impending custody battle.

Pleading with Adam, she asked him to help arrange the legal proceedings necessary to bar Tyrone from seeing the girls, eventually winning him over.

Will Fiz and Tyrone's long-running love story end in a bitter exchange of words in court?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
