Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley reveals what she won't miss about playing Eva

Coronation Street fans bid their final farewells to Catherine Tyldesley on last night’s (August 3) episode of the soap as Eva Price left the cobbles for the last time.

In the wake of her departure, the star has been reflecting on her time on the ITV soap, and revealed one aspect that she definitely won’t miss.

“Eva has had some very bold choices costume-wise over the years,” Catherine said in a Twitter clip. “Certainly some statement pieces. I choose all of Eva’s outfits.

“Will I miss them? Not so much. But they were perfect for her. As an actress I’ve loved every minute of having that dress up time.”

In the clip, the actress also thanked the cast and fans for their support during her time on Corrie, saying: “I’ve been supported her by the most incredible cast, the most incredible actors.

“My sisters for example, Georgia and Jane, I’m just going to miss so much, phenomenal. And Shayne Ward of course who played the lovely Aidan was just fantastic. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with some fantastic actors and learn a lot on the job.

“We’ve all helped support each other and It really is an amazing place to work and I’m so grateful for my time here.

“I would just like to say to everybody who has supported me over the last seven years, and the character of Eva Price, thank you so much. I have loved every minute of it.”

In her final appearance, Eva gave an emotional speech during the inquest into Aidan Connor’s death.
