Coronation Street‘s Angie Appleton is lured into a new trap of Jude’s next week after deciding to revisit her love life.
Angie will take steps to move on from Jude by heading out on a date, but will be drawn back to her estranged husband when he continues to lie about saving Roy Cropper’s life.
Aware of how much he’s struggling with their split, Angie initially lies to Jude when she heads out to meet a man she’s met online.
However, after hearing that Jude has been shortlisted for a Good Samaritan award, Angie can’t help but feel proud of Jude and suggests they celebrate.
As the pair head out to dinner at the Bistro, Angie is consumed with guilt over lying to Jude and admits she went on a date behind his back.
Pleased that they appear to be getting on again, Jude fails to come clean with Angie over his own lies as he continues to exaggerate his part in the Roy incident.
Viewers know that Jude has wrongly taken the plaudits for “saving” Roy Cropper following his extreme reaction to a bee sting recently.
Although it was Ali Neeson who ultimately stepped in, Jude has led Angie to believe that he was the one who saved Roy in a last ditch attempt to resurrect his marriage. How will Angie feel when she realises Jude has told her another lie?
