Coronation Street will expose Jim McDonald's deception over Katie next week

Coronation Street will expose Jim McDonald’s lies in next week’s unmissable episodes, as Liz finally learns that he has been conning her.

Jim (Charlie Lawson) has teamed up with newcomer Hannah to trick Liz into thinking that their daughter didn’t really die after she was born prematurely in 1992, blaming a “mix-up” at the hospital.

In reality, Jim and Hannah have a ruthless plan to clear Liz’s bank account, rob Steve of his business and set themselves up for life – but thankfully, their deception isn’t going to last much longer.

We can reveal that Liz will discover the truth about what Jim is up to in upcoming scenes, with the story finally coming to a head in Corrie‘s explosive week.

As Liz tells Jim she’d like to give their relationship another go, Hannah is unnerved to witness just how close they are getting.

Realising that the deal could be off, Hannah is a loose cannon as she demands money off Johnny Connor instead – threatening to tell Jenny about his affair with Liz if he doesn’t pay up. Will Johnny comply? Or will Hannah drop another bombshell and unmask herself in the process?

Liz’s discovery will form part of a big week for Corrie, featuring a dramatic car crash, Nick Tilsley’s return, a shock death and two weddings, as Daniel and Sinead’s impromptu ceremony clashes with Steve and Tracy’s big day.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
