Coronation Street teases dramatic week ahead as Rana's killer is finally revealed

CORONATION Street has teased a dramatic week ahead as the soap prepares to reveal who's responsible for Rana's death.

The person to blame for the factory roof collapse will be exposed in a series of episodes that kick off next Monday.

Fans of the soap have been waiting to find out who sabotaged the roof since March.

The collapse caused Rana to be killed on her wedding day to Kate Connor, and for Carla Connor to have a mental breakdown and go on the run.

This latest Corrie trailer shows someone will admit to tampering with the factory roof… although their identity will remain a secret until next week.

Carla, Nick Tilsley, Peter Barlow, Robert Preston, Gary Windass, and Seb Franklin are all suspected of being behind the roof collapse, which has caused anguish on the Cobbles.

As well as the drama surrounding the factory, the episodes will focus on Carla Connor who has been hospitalised against her will.

She'd been missing for several weeks following the shocking Underworld roof collapse, which she feels responsible for.

Corrie revealed we are set to find out the truth soon, saying: "Following weeks of speculation, we are finally going to learn which local has blood on their hands.

"Viewers will learn the truth, although the rest of the Street still has a little way to go before they clock on. It's a story that is going to run and run, and the outcome is not going to be cut and dried."

Coronation Street will move to 9pm next week to make way for the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals.

Last year the ITV soap used the coveted slot to show serial killer Pat Phelan’s downfall, while the year before focused on Bethany Platt’s grooming storyline.

A soap source said: “The scenes are really dramatic.

“When things can’t seem to get any worse for Carla, it appears they do. She’s at her lowest and climbs up the stairs after thinking she’s seen Aidan, and appears to be looking for a way out of all her troubles.

“Luckily Peter spots her and convinces her there’s something to live for, eventually managing to talk her down.

“She is taken away by an ambulance and examined by mental health professionals.”
