The landlady confronts Liz over her affair with her husband Johnny, branding her a “washed up desperate slapper”.
Johnny and Liz embarked on a fling as he turned to her for comfort following the death of his son Aidan.
Devastated by the turn of events, Jenny screams at Liz: “You have been after him for months, years even!
“Hovering over him, following him to allotments, inviting him into your back room for cosy chats – just waiting until he is too weak and vulnerable to fight you off. You are pathetic.”
Trying to defend herself Liz replies: “I swear, I was never after him until then. I was just trying to be his mate."
Hitting back, Jenny says: “Your certainly weren’t my mate, were you? You are just a washed up desperate slapper. No wonder Jim saw you as an easy mark.
“You are not even worth fighting with.”
Concerned about her job in the pub, Liz asks: “I take it I’m sacked.”
In a scathing reply, Jenny says: “I couldn’t care less and neither could Johnny. He said you mean nothing and I believe him.
“So turn up, don’t turn up, makes no difference to me. If you are not there at six for your shift then I will take that as your resignation.”
Jenny learnt the truth about the affair after Jim and Hannah blackmailed Johnny.
