The star – who has appeared in movies including The Dark Knight and Hellboy – will swap the bright lights of tinseltown for the cobbles of Weatherfield, according to the Daily Star.
The publication reports Helene has already started filming on the Coronation Street set in Manchester, and will make her debut on screen later this month.
A show insider said: "Helene has been a pleasure to have at the studios.
"She will play a part in one of our ongoing stories."
Helene is the latest familiar face to land a guest slot on the ITV soap.
New producer Iain MacLeod has also recruited former EastEnders actress Janet Dibley, Brit comic Stephen Bailey and Hollywood actor Adam Fogerty for guest roles in the coming weeks.
Earlier this week, it was revealed actress Nicola Thorp had returned to the soap as Nicola Rubinstein.
The soap star was embroiled in a gripping storyline earlier this year, which saw her on-screen father, Pat Phelan (Connor Mcintyre) killed off in a dramatic exit.
But after the death of the serial killer, Nicola's character then left Weatherfield in June.
Just five months later and the 30-year-old actress has confirmed her return and has already filmed her comeback scenes.
Speaking in a video, which was shared on Coronation Street's official Twitter account, the beauty said: "Hello, everyone. It's my first day back on the set of Corrie."
Nicola is looking forward to returning to the ITV soap, and hopes viewers are eager for her comeback.
She continued: "I'm so excited to be back. I've missed you all.
"It's been a long time now since Phelan's reign of terror, but I hope you're all looking forward to what Nicola's going to get up to in January when she's back on screens.
