Coronation Street reveals shock twist as Josh Tucker is left blind following his attack

The following article contains discussion of sexual misconduct that some readers may find upsetting.

Coronation Street saw rapist Josh Tucker get his comeuppance last week after he was attacked by his friend Ethan, but tonight’s first episode (August 6) revealed that there’s more to this attack storyline as Josh was left blinded.

Last week saw Billy tell Ethan of Josh’s true nature after catching David following Ethan around, and it later emerged that Ethan had attacked Josh after discovering he had date rape drug GHB on him.

In tonight’s episode, Josh regained consciousness after being left on life support and he soon realises that he’s gone blind – something the doctors are hoping is temporary.

And, while we’re sure Corrie fans don’t condone violence or anything, it seems that many viewers are seeing this latest twist as some much-needed karma for Josh:

Previously, David visited Josh in hospital while he was still unconscious and told him that he dreams about killing him.

He could have turned off the life support machine, but decided the best way to get him out of his mind was to walk away and never look back.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
