Coronation Street is lining up some special Blackpool scenes for the latest twist in Jude Appleton’s story.
Brand new paparazzi pictures show David Neilson and Patti Clare – who play Roy Cropper and Mary Taylor respectively – busy filming on the Central Pier in Blackpool.
Roy will join forces with Mary in a desperate bid to track down her son Jude, who hasn’t been seen in Weatherfield for weeks.

Mary understandably turned against Jude after he lashed out at her during an argument about his constant lies, but upcoming scenes will see her turn to the police for help after growing increasingly worried about his welfare.
When Jude’s estranged wife Angie also joined the backlash and ordered him to leave, he made a low-key departure from Weatherfield and hasn’t been in touch since.

Sadly, it looks like there is a very bleak time ahead for Mary as these new pictures suggest that she still is still looking for Jude later in the winter.
Mary and Roy’s search for Jude will eventually lead them to Blackpool, but will they have any luck there? Or is there more heartbreak ahead?
Paddy Wallace, who plays Jude, recently confirmed that we haven’t seen the last of his character following his departure last month.
Although Jude will be back on screen, his return is only expected to be brief, as Paddy has already filmed his final scenes in the role.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
