Coronation Street fans seriously distracted by Ken Barlow's appearance as Bill Roache, 89, returns to soap

KEN Barlow returned to Coronation Street last night – and fans were blown away by his appearance.

The original cobbles star – who is played by 89-year-old actor Bill Roache in the ITV soap – has been off for months after contracting Covid earlier this year.

However he returned last night looking in fine health for a sad new storyline.

Ken was summoned by his old friend Norris Cole back to luxury retirement home Still Waters.

Sadly, before he had a chance to see Norris, the busybody suffered a stroke and died, leaving his pals devastated.

He, Rita Tanner and Mary Taylor met up to share their grief and remember their dear friend.

But despite the sad scenes, fans were focused on how well Ken looked.

And his return didn’t go unnoticed by fans.

In fact it majorly distracted them from the episode with them wondering how he manages to keep looking years younger than he is.

One wrote: "How come Ken Barlow keeps getting younger??"
