Chris Evans's twins Walter and Boo make their TV debut as dad says he 'can't wait' to move back to Virgin Radio

The legendary TV host, 52, brings his three-month old tots Boo and Walt along for the fun as he cooks up a storm with the top chef and opens up about his return to Virgin Radio.

Wearing his best Christmas jumper, teaser snaps from this weekend's festive episode show Chris larking around with James as he enjoys cuddles with his little ones.

The former Top Gear host also admits he "can't wait" to start his new radio show after a "wonderful" eight years hosting the Radio 2 Breakfast Show.

He enthuses: "The BBC is a marvellous and wonderful place and I thank them for everything.

"I have no complaints whatsoever. I had an amazing time there – to take over Terry’s [Wogan] show was such an honour and such a treat.

"I survived it and lived to tell the tale. I can see bright, bright sunshine, I can see blue, blue skies and I can’t wait to get to Virgin Radio."

Chris took over the Radio 2 Breakfast Show in 2010 after Terry Wogan stepped down.

And he admits advice once given to him by the legendary broadcaster influenced his decision to move on from the show and try something new.

Chris explains: "He said there’s never a right time to go but there can be a wrong time to go. Don’t wait until you only have the option of the wrong time.”
