Chris Eubank boasts he's 'already won' Cooking With The Stars over a week before show starts on TV | The Sun

CHRIS Eubanks has boasted that he's 'already won' Cooking with the Stars – a week before the ITV competition returns to TV screens.

The boxing legend, 56, will appear on the third series of the reality show, alongside BAFTA award-winning actor Jason Watkins, Gavin and Stacey actress Joanna Page, Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon, singer and television personality Peter Andre.

Also in the cast are Busted’s Matt Willis, Steps’ Claire Richards and Love Island star Indiyah Polack.

In a chat with ITV ahead of the launch of the third series next week, Chris was asked if he was in it to win it.

The confident fighter replied:"I've already won because I'm not looking for the cherry. Just coming onto the show, you’ve already won."

And Chris added that he already believes he is the best of the bunch.

He claimed: "My food will always taste better than my adversaries or my competitors! My presentation isn’t going to be emanating but the taste will always make you sigh because I’m always cooking from my mother's spirit. That's right, no one beats a mother’s cooking!"

It appears Chris will certainly be a scene stealer this series, with hosts Emma Willis and Tom Allen revealing he will be a big talking point.

Asked if there were any standout moments from filming, Emma simply replied: "Chris Eubank!"

"Every moment is mesmerising," Tom agreed of the sportsman's scenes.

"He’s fascinating," added Emma. "I can’t stop watching and listening to him. I am quite captivated by him. I love his positive outlook.

Tom agreed: "He is so positive. I think what's lovely about Cooking With The Stars is Chris has space to be himself and then you’ve got Claire being herself and Rosemary being herself – there is space for everybody.

"It brings all different people together with different outlooks on life. Food brings us all together. "

Chris was last seen on our screens in Channel 4's hit Scared of the Dark, which saw a group of famous faces living without any light.

He shocked viewers when he quit the show after rubbing his fellow celebs the wrong way.

Before deciding to pack it all in, Chris went on strike – leaving everyone frustrated, including host Danny Dyer who branded him a ‘child’.

He refused to take part in challenges and embarked on an 11-hour silent protest.

After moaning at fellow contestants, including Paul Gascoigne, for speaking "tragically" about their lives, Chris pulled out of a challenge halfway through and vented his fury.

He moaned: "Look, when it comes to a fight I back down from no man, but I'm 56, I'm not a boy any more and my body has been through a great deal of trauma."

Gazza told the others: "Personally, I think he's scared of the dark and should leave. I'm telling you now, he's fighting the dark, it's got to him."

After he made the decision to quit, those watching at home took to Twitter to discuss it.

One person wrote: “So glad Chris left #ScaredOfTheDark.”

A second said: “Chris Eubank. Nah. Good riddance.”
