Chas suffers harrowing labour – weeks ahead of Aaron’s wedding on Emmerdale

Chas Dingle will face her most difficult challenge yet as she goes into labour.

This will come as a devastating blow to Chas, who had hoped her baby daughter would be able to attend son Aaron’s wedding.

Her baby with Paddy, who they have named Grace , has bilateral agenesis – a condition that means that her daughter won’t survive outside of the womb.

She discovered this during a scan at the hospital when the sonographer revealed that her baby would not be able to fully develop her lungs.

Next week on Emmerdale, Aaron’s stag do is underway when Chas does into labour.

Will she and Paddy be prepared for the future?

The couple previously agreed that they would donate their daughter’s organs so that her life will not go to waste.

Initially, Chas had been upset over the idea of organ donation and hit out at Paddy.

Actress Lucy Pargeter said: "Organ donation has never been brought up to Chas before. She hasn’t even considered it because, as far as she’s concerned, she’s thinking about the baby living and not the baby dying.

"So when organ donation is suggested to her, it’s like a kick in the teeth."

However her stance has since changed – but will the idea that her daughter could save a life provide any comfort to grieving Chas?
