Celebrity Big Brother’s Roxanne Pallett reveals the three surprising celebrity men who she calls her 'guardian angels'

They are Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, Cold Feet actor John Thomson and East 17's Tony Mortimer.

Roxanne – who is set to get married to fiancé Lee Walton – says she doesn't know what she would do without her trio of heroes.

The 36-year-old actress, who entered the Celebrity Big Brother house on Thursday night, said: "Piers is my go-to for advice on work as he is brutally honest. If I sit on the fence about something he gives me the honest answer.

"When I asked him about doing Celebrity Big Brother, he just said 'Go get 'em. This will be amusing'. He had the deciding vote."

The soap star also said that John and Tony helped her when she was struggling with fame during her time as Jo Sugden in Emmerdale in the noughties.

She said: "I was a typical showbiz story. You gain friends when you have money and you're on telly but once you leave, the phone stops ringing, your so-called friends disappear.

"I didn't deal with it very well. I lost all self confidence. I felt abandoned and didn't even want to go out.

"But I'd known John and Tony for many years and they were there for me.

"They were pillars of strength. They were Guardian Angels and still are."

Meanwhile, Roxanne has revealed she got engaged to her boyfriend Lee just seven days after meeting him.

The 36-year-old actress said people thought she was “crazy” after she said yes to the 40-year-old steel worker when he got down on one knee.

Former Emmerdale star Roxanne explained Lee proposed while she was getting ready for a night out and because he didn’t have a ring, they had matching tattoos on their ring fingers.

He’s now saved up for a big sparkler and she beamed as she proudly showed it off in their first photoshoot as a couple.

Roxanne also explained she chose to wear the sparkler on her right hand so she could always look at the inking on her left.

She told OK! Magazine: “We were engaged within a week of meeting! I know it sounds crazy, but I knew my heart.”

Lee admitted he’d followed Roxanne’s career and had always fancied her so when he met her he thought it was his lucky day.

The pair met in their local pub and were “kissing within five minutes of meeting”.

Roxanne added: “I just flung my arms around him and it was like we’d been together forever.”

The pair, who posed up in wedding gear at Friends Fest last month, will start planning their wedding once Roxanne leaves the Celebrity Big Brother house.
