Celebrity Big Brother's Ben Jardine kisses engaged Roxanne Pallett and declares his love for her

Celebrity Big Brother‘s Ben Jardine has shocked fellow housemate Roxanne Pallett by surprising her with a kiss and declaring his love for her, igniting lots of strong opinions from viewers in the process.

The men of this series of the Channel 5 reality show don’t seem to respect fidelity much. Married housemate Jermaine Pennant is already in hot water for his conduct with Chloe Ayling, and now Ben is crossing a line with engaged housemate Roxanne.

Last week, Ben already made everyone feel icky confessing his crush on his “Roxo Cube”, but Roxanne has stressed repeatedly that she’s happily engaged to Lee Walton.

That brings us to Monday’s episode (August 27) episode, where Roxanne grew more and more paranoid when word got around that Ben had been keeping a secret from her. And this was after Ben acknowledged that he’d cheated in past relationships, and was having a baby with yet another woman.

She finally confronted Ben by privately calling him into the storeroom, and asking him to come clean about whatever it was he’d been wanting to tell her.

“Ah, baby. You know, I can’t help it,” he confessed. “All I know is that you know [I fancy you] and I can’t help it and I’m sorry. That’s all you need to know, really. Read into that.

“We’ll leave it at that, yeah? Sorry.”

“My head right now is like, it’s marshmallows,” Roxanne admitted. “Especially after that!”

Ben then pulled her close, kissed her and whispered: “I love you, right? Sorry.”

Seemingly surprised, Roxanne declared: “Just, just, oi! It’s all good! Okay, cool. That’s all done.”

Ben then immediately backed off, telling her that he “can’t help” it and made his way back into the house while she moved into the store-room alone to kiss her engagement ring and say: “You’re still my boyfriend.”
