Celebrity Big Brother viewers flood Ofcom with complaints after Roxanne Pallett accused Ryan Thomas of 'punching her in the ribs'

Fans of the show bombarded the broadcasting watchdog with tweets after the drama on tonight's show.

The former Emmerdale star, 35, told producers to remove Ryan from the house after a play fight in the living room seemingly went too far.

Ryan, 34, was given a formal warning over the incident and Roxanne later refused to sleep in the same bedroom as him, asking producers to put her up in a spare room.

Many viewers were baffled by what happened, with many defending Ryan, and they have been bombarding Ofcom with complaints over the episode.

They have been tweeting to the broadcasting watchdog and sharing their complaints on social media.

One wrote: "#cbb @bbuk fyi here is my complaint to @Ofcom. The Roxanne incident is disgusting and shameful. Your handerling [sic] of the situation is harmful to the viewing public…"

Another added: "I’ve reported to Ofcom as wasn’t happy with how Big Brother handled the situation by giving you a warning when evidence showed you did nothing wrong. #cbb."

A third tweeted: "I've just logged a complaint with ofcom (took less than 5 mins)…by #cbb issuing a warning to Ryan, it demonstrates #cbb accepts that Ryan had intent to hurt or upset her, this was clearly not the case; #cbb and @RoxannePallett should apologies immediately."

One more commented: "@Ofcom To whom it may concern. I like to make a formal complaint against happenings on #CBB…"

Ryan has also been defended by a number of his celebrity friends, including his brother Scott.

The pair appeared to be play fighting in tonight's show as Roxy was walking to the bedroom.

seemed to catch her a little bit too hard, as she called out to him: "Ow that bloody hurt," before calling him a "woman beater".

She later went to the diary room and demanded to speak to a producer about something that made her "feel very uncomfortable".

Later on in the show, Roxanne was seen in the diary room again explaining what happened and demanding Ryan be removed from the house.
