Celebrity Big Brother clearly wants fans to ship Rodrigo Alves and Ben Jardine as this series’ unlikely couple, but so far it’s proving divisive with viewers.
Earlier this week, fans demanded that Rodrigo be removed from the house when he encouraged the former Married at First Sight star to expose his genitals while taking a bath.
This was the second major controversy for Rodrigo, after the so-called ‘Human Ken Doll’ sparked nearly 1,000 viewer complaints and received a “formal and final warning” from Big Brother for using the N-word twice.
In Wednesday’s episode (August 22), Rodrigo’s seeming attraction to Jardine — who has identified as heterosexual — took another turn when Ben seemed to proposition him. Watch the last few seconds of the clip below to see a snippet:
As the two were hugging against a door, Ben told Rodrigo: “I want to play!”
“We can play,” Rodrigo answered before kissing his neck, and saying again: “We can play.”
Ben laughed along and told him “go get [his] nightgown and [they’d] have a little play”, adding: “Let’s have a little think!”
We weren’t shown what that ‘playing’ entailed, which is fine with some viewers because they don’t see Ben and Rodrigo as the second coming of Courtney Act and Andrew Brady:
