AceShowbiz –Cate Blanchett is to star in refugee TV drama “Stateless“.
The mini-series centres on an immigration facility in the actress’ native Australia and chronicles four strangers, including an Afghan refugee and a flight attendant. Blanchett stars as a cult leader.
The 50-year-old will collaborate with longtime friend, writer Elise McCredie, and director Tony Ayres for the six parter.
Yvonne Strahovski, Dominic West and Jai Courtney round out the cast of the series, which will debut in America on 1 March.
