Love Island revealed Casa Amor is going to be taking place this year after there were fears the challenge could be cancelled as the show introduced new safeguarding guidelines for its contestants. With Casa Amor now going ahead, many fans have been speculating about whether the girls will be going into the secret second villa instead of the boys this year. Past years have seen the boys packing their bags and heading to the villa to meet some new girls.
Are the girls going into Casa Amor for the first time?
ITV has not confirmed whether or not the girls will be entering Casa Amor and fans are going to have to wait and see how it pans out.
However, a source said the girls are going into Casa Amor this year which is a first for the show.
There has been no reason given for this fresh twist in the show but may possibly be a change-up to surprise the contestants.
That would mean the girls would meet new boys in Casa Amor and couple up with them.
While the girls are in the new villa, the boys will be meeting some new ladies.
The ITV series confirmed last night (Thursday, June 28) that 12 newbies would be arriving imminently as new couples are formed.
Last year Love Island fans watched the boys heading to their new home after a month in the primary villa.
In Casa Amor, the boys met a new group of girls and it wasn’t long before heads were turned.
Fans will remember how Dani Dyer was left in tears last year after seeing Jack Fincham kissing another girl I’m the villa.
The villa is already in disarray this year after the Islanders faced one of the most brutal challenges to date.
Following a public vote to choose their favourite couple, the top three couples then had to select one boy and one girl to leave.
The girls plumped for Tom Walker after his numerous bust-ups with Maura Higgins.
Arabella Chi was given the boot by the boys after a tense discussion with Tommy Fury delivering the news.
The Islanders have yet to find out about Casa Amor as they were left reeling in shock.
Love Island host Caroline Flack has already said Casa Amor will be a good test of the strength of the existing relationships.
The new influx of Islanders will be a blessing for some of the existing cast members including Maura and Danny Williams, who were left single following the double dumping.
Casa Amor will give them a chance to find some new people and bring new energy to the show.
However, there are fears some of the existing couples could be broken up swiftly by the new contestants who already have their eye on some of those in the villa.
