Carole Middleton could get the royal treatment – with TV series about her life

Royal writer Daisy Goodwin wants to pen her next TV drama about Prince William’s mother-in-law, Carole Middleton.

Daisy, who created the hit series Victoria, believes former air hostess Carole, 64, is the perfect subject.

“People ask me if I’d like to write a drama about Harry and Meghan but I actually think I would like to write about Carole Middleton,” she revealed.

“Carole has an extraordinary story. She is a very, very interesting woman and she deserves a series.”

Carole, mother of the Duchess of Cambridge, grew up in a small house in Southall, West London, and went to state schools.

She wanted to be a teacher but her family could not afford to send her to college so she became a British Airways flight attendant.

When daughter Kate began dating Prince William at university some of his posh cronies would whisper “Doors to manual” when she appeared – in an snobbish jibe at her mum.

Writer Daisy also thinks the current Kate vs Meghan contoversy is just an echo of other big royal rivalries down the centuries.
