Breaking Bad’s Steven Gomez star Steven Michael Quezada looks unrecognisable 13 years on from hit show

BREAKING Bad made its explosive debut 13 years ago and is widely regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time.

Its relatively unknown cast at the time – excluding Bryan Cranston, of course – saw their popularity soar since appearing on the show.

After filming for the crime-drama wrapped in 2013, many of its cast members look completely unrecognisable.

In particular, Steven Gomez – portrayed by Steven Michael Quezada – who was Hank Schrader’s partner at the Albuquerque DEA office, as well as his close friend.

The critically-acclaimed series saw Gomez assist Hank with trying to bring the infamous Walter White to justice once and for all.

Steven, now 58, looks entirely different from his former character and has completely ventured away from the world of acting.

After Breaking Bad, Quezada starred in several movies, including Light from the Darkroom, Hermanos, The Night Before and Wish Man.

He also guest-starred on the fifth season of the Breaking Bad spin-off series Better Call Saul.

After those stints, Steven sensationally ran and won the Democratic nomination for New Mexico’s Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners for District 2.

After announcing his plans to run, he told the Associated Press his plans were to help build new homes in the Hispanic South Valley.

As a result, Quezada won in a three-way race with 36 per cent of the vote and, after defeating Republican Patricia Paiz in the election, he was sworn in for a four-year term.
