Jenna Coleman stole hearts last year with Boots’ uplifting Christmas advert and this year’s offering is no different. Boots’ festive film featured BAFTA nominated actress Lydia West who is on a mission to create the perfect Christmas for her friends and family. Here’s everything you need to know about where and when you can watch Boots’ Christmas advert.

Joy for All focussed on Holly (Lydia) who found a pair of magical glasses on the bus.

She popped the spectacles on only to find her entire surroundings had been transformed with a sprinkle of Christmas magic.

The subdued bus-goers were turned into festive party-goers while a tree outside was suddenly covered in lights.

Holly’s special glasses allowed her to see what brings people joy whenever she wears them so she was able to pick out the perfect presents.

In the clip, Holly realised her colleague loved a bubble bath while her cousin dreamt of transforming into his glamorous drag alter-ego.

Meanwhile, Holly’s dad was at his happiest with the beloved family dog.

At the end of the advert, Holly has brought joy to everyone with a Soap & Glory gift set, Marc Jacobs fragrance, a Dyson hairdryer and a personalised cushion with a picture of the family dog.

She then took the magic glasses off to see that the Christmas magic had been realised and the spectacles were no longer needed.

The Joy for All TV advert will air for the first time on Friday during Gogglebox on Channel 4.

Boots’ festive film featured You Make My Dreams (Come True) by Hall & Oates for its soundtrack.

Commenting on the advert, actress Lydia said: “Christmas is my favourite time of year and like Holly, I enjoy the feeling of picking a present for someone that I know they are going to love.

“My time on set filming the Boots campaign got me feeling festive and excited to think about what is going to make my own friends and family smile with joy on Christmas morning.”

Pete Markey, Chief Marketing Officer at Boots UK added: “Our customers are telling us they want this Christmas to be a joyful time with loved ones, particularly after another turbulent year.

“The story of Holly and her magical spectacles shows that finding the right gift for the right person can spark that feeling of joy both for the giver and the recipient.

“Our extensive range of gifts means that people can be confident that with Boots there is ‘Joy for All’ this Christmas”.

As shoppers tackle the cost of living crisis, Boots wanted to show with their campaign that customers can buy the perfect no matter their budget.

The retailer has 50 percent of its range priced at £10 or under and its biggest ever Star Gift programme.

Bargain-lover shoppers should also look out for Boots’ biggest ever Black Friday.

Boots customers can purchase magic 3D Christmas glasses for £2 with 50p going to The Prince’s Trust.

A collection of Christmas cards, gift wrap and tags designed by a young artist through The Prince’s Trust will also be available with proceeds going to charity.
