New BBC thriller Bodyguard had to be completely re-written when permission to film on a train was taken away at the last minute.
Writer and showrunner Jed Mercurio has revealed the mad panic that surrounded the making of the programme.
Taking to Twitter this morning, he said that the show was meant to begin with a train departing Waterloo station, in London.
However, when the permission was taken away, they suddenly had to come up with a solution.
Thankfully, Mid-Norfolk Railway stepped in but Jed, who also wrote Line of Duty, said they had to completely re-write the show around it.
After the show kicked off last night, he said: "The opening sequence of#Bodyguard was originally going to be shot on a train about to depart Waterloo Station. Permission was revoked and we had to reconceive the whole sequence to a new location with a completely rewritten chain of events. Thanks to @midnorfolkrly."
Fans rushed to congratulate him on the episode, telling him it was still "brilliant" despite the issues.
One said: "Excellent first episode, very tense and superb acting"
Another told him: "Incredible work, as ever. Beautifully structured. Tense, taut drama. Brilliantly cast. Cannot wait for the 2nd ep. Hats off"
"It was terrific. Edge of seat stuff," one commented.
While another said: "It was utterly magnificent – many congratulations! Best thing I’ve seen on tv for months."
* Bodyguard continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One
