Bodyguard fans left gobsmacked as it’s revealed that suicide bomber Nadia made bomb that killed Julia Montague during tense finale full of twists

During an very tense 75 mins, viewers were blindside by twist after twist as they discovered had been working along Luke Aitkens and CSI Lorraine Craddock.

For the last six weeks viewers have come up with countless theories – including that Julia wasn’t really dead or that David Budd was behind her death – all of which have been completely wrong.

Instead during some very stressful to watch scenes it was revealed that it was bomber Nadia (Anjli Mohindra) who made the bomb that killed Julia and she planned the attack on David’s children’s school – leaving viewers horrified.

David Budd (Richard Madden), like viewers, had naively believed she was an ally – but that wasn’t the only twist.

She was actually just doing the dirty work for crime boss Luke Aitkens (Matt Stokoe), who was trying to weaken the security service.

Luke had found out that Julia (Keeley Hawes) was planning to transfer powers to the security service rather than police – meaning organised crime that he was involved in would be more at risk so he wanted to stop her – and would stop at nothing.

Those watching at home could not get over all the twists and turns and took to Twitter to comment on it.

One person wrote: "Well that twist at the end I wasn't expecting that  Superb bit of writing #Bodyguard

Another commented: "Oh my days, plot twist. She had us all fooled #Bodyguard

While someone else tweeted: "Plot twist with Nadia there  #BodyGuard."

But prior to that bombshell fans viewers learnt that Luke was collaborating with CSI Lorraine Craddock (Pippa Haywood), who had been feeding him the Home Secretary’s movements.

And in true Jed Mercurio style, the police chief was utterly corrupt and was helping bring down Julia who was trying to introduce the fictional bill Ripa 18, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2018 which would increase surveillance powers for the security services.

Meanwhile Richard Longcross (Michael Shaeffer) was helping Julia usurp the PM.  He was working for MI5’s Director-General Stephen Hunter-Dunn and providing evidence to ruin the leader. For weeks viewers suspected there was something incredibly sinister about him when he was in fact just carrying out orders for the secret service.

Commenting on Craddock being a corrupt officer, one person wrote: "So it was not Samson but Craddock, did not see it #Bodyguard."

While another gasped: "Jesus didn't suspect her at all #Bodyguard."

"I had. NO. CLUE. #bodyguard was gonna take this turn. The least suspected person, being the mastermind of the leak. But we all knew a sketchy bloke in a 17 plate Landy would always show as the overlord," commented someone else.
