Bella Thorne sparks fury after making £1m a day on OnlyFans – as sex workers claim they're losing out

FORMER Disney child star Bella Thorne, 22, made £1million in a day on OnlyFans – but sex workers are furious.

They're claiming her success has cost them money after the company put a price cap on pay per view snaps and changed the payment time period from seven to 30 days.

OnlyFans is a subscription content service based in London that launched four years ago.

Celebrities have been flocking to the site in recent months after seeing the opporunity to cash in on sexy snaps.

Bella launched her OnlyFans page this week, offering three nude pictures for £150 – and instantly became its most successful name.

Excited fans rushed to pay the American actress, but it's claimed they were let down when she posted snaps in her underwear.

It led some to demand a refund, with sex workers insisting the rules were changed to a maximum £38 charge per pic.

Especially since coronavirus hit the sex industry, workers have turned to OnlyFans to make money in lockdown.

One ranted: "Bella Thorne really ruined a good thing for people who actually use onlyfans to make a living and pay bills."

Another claimed: “She scammed her subscribers and sent out $200 PPV (a message you have to pay to view) claiming it was a fully nude photos set.

"It was not. So many people requested refunds that now OnlyFans won’t allow us to charge over $50 for PPV OR get tipped over $100.

“And this morning we were all told that instead of waiting 7 days for our payouts, we have to wait 30.

“The theory is that OF can’t afford to pay her her cut so now our funds are being tied up.”

Someone else said: "Bella Thorne made a million dollars off OnlyFans in one day and I’m in DEBT going to college NOT EVEN IN PERSON."

OnlyFans denied the rule-change was brought in after signing Bella.

A spokesperson for the site told TMZ: “Transaction limits are set to help prevent overspending and to allow our users to continue to use the site safely.

“We value all of the feedback received since this change was implemented and we will continue to review these limits."

Following the backlash, Bella said she was collaborating with director Sean Baker on a film about OnlyFans.

He has since denied any involvement in the project.

Bella has been retweeting positive tweets from fans describing her as an "advocate for sex workers".

Sharing a story on her making a £1million in 24 hours, Bella confirmed: "Also nooooo I’m not doing nudity!!!"
