BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker admits he 'isn't listening' to co-star after spotting something VERY distracting behind her

BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker admitted he 'wasn't listening' to his co-star after spotting something VERY distracting behind her.

In the final segment of today's show, Dan and co-host Sally Nugent spoke to reporter Sarah Corker who was visiting a cafe in Castle Donington.

Sarah was speaking to customers and workers about the Government's decision to lift all Covid 19 restrictions in the UK.

But after chatting to members of the public in the cafe, she went and stood near a hot breakfast buffet to conclude her report.

She said the business was offering free breakfasts on Mondays to encourage people back in before the camera zoomed in on the offering.

However, back in the studio Dan, 44, admitted: "I've got to confess I didn't listen to the last 20 seconds of that, I got confused by the hash browns."

As he held his hands up and chuckled, Sally giggled and added: "I know, Sarah thank you so much but we were both just staring at the breakfast!

"Free breakfast? Let's just get there now."

Sarah joked: "I thought so, I thought it would distract you but it looks very tasty."

Dan laughed and said: "Enjoy your free breakfast Sarah, thank you very much, we'll be there in about five minutes."

Dan returned to BBC Breakfast today after enjoying a half term break to Rome with his wife Sarah and their three children.

Dan has been sharing the highlights of the family's half-term trip including the sweet note he received from a fan on their flight over there.

Describing it as the "perfect family half-term escape", Dan shared some rare photos of his teenage children.

"Rome is officially a lovely place to visit," he declared on his Instagram stories.
