Arrow clip confirms Diaz's death: See Laurel's reaction

It appears as though the Dragon has indeed been slain.

Last week’s Arrow ended on a cliff-hanger, as a mysterious figure set the treacherous Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) on fire in his cell. While it’s hard to believe that anyone could actually survive being burned alive like that, this is a superhero show where people have made it through worse, so death wasn’t a certainty when the episode cut to black. However, the above sneak peek at Monday’s Arrow seems to confirm that the fiery crime boss is very dead (although we’re still going to wait until we see the bod ourselves before we truly believe it).

In this exclusive clip from tonight’s episode, titled “Training Day,” imprisoned ex-Suicide Squader Bronze Tiger/Ben Turner (Michael Jai White) breaks the news of Diaz’s demise to Laurel, who didn’t know about it because Slabside is trying to cover it up and still hasn’t reported it. Turner also knows who killed him, but, much to Laurel’s annoyance, he’s keeping that info to himself until he gets what was promised to him when he teamed up with Oliver (Stephen Amell): his freedom.

Sounds like Laurel is going to need to find a way around the A.R.G.U.S. red tape if she’s going to get to the bottom of Diaz’s death.

Watch the clip above for more.

Here’s the full logline for tonight’s episode, which was written by Emilio Ortega Aldrich and Rebecca Rosenberg and directed by Ruba Nadda: “Team Arrow attempts to work with the Star City Police Department but much to Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) frustration, things don’t go as planned. Meanwhile, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) gets some life-changing news.”

Arrow airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
