ARod jokes he and JLo will have a ‘cheaper’ ‘drive-by wedding’ instead of lavish affair – The Sun

ALEX Rodriguez has joked that he and Jennifer Lopez will have a "cheap drive-by wedding" instead of a lavish affair.

The celebrity couple were forced to cancel their big day due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and have got inspiration for their wedding from his daughter Ella's 12th birthday earlier this week.

Alex, who also goes by ARod, opened up in a new interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

Appearing via video-link, the 44-year-old explained that Ella's quarantine party had almost 300 cars driving past their home for the socially-distanced do.

He added: "We had a drive-through party, and we said maybe we will have a drive-through wedding!

"It'll be cheaper!"

Getting more serious, ARod told the host: "We have to go with the flow now — everything is fluid — and just pause and see where the world takes us.

"Obviously, this is unprecedented times, and for us, we just want to make sure safety is first and make sure all the little ones are in a good place."

A source previously told HollywoodLife that the 50-year-old singer is remaining calm about the whole thing, sharing: "Jen is used to working under pressure and plans changing at the last minute.

"She isn’t stressing about this at all. She knows things will work out how they’re supposed to and their wedding day will be perfect no matter what."

She and ARod have been dating since February 2017 and got engaged in March last year.

They are currently quarantined with their children in Miami, with ARod dad to Ella and 15-year-old Natasha with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

Meanwhile, Jennifer shares 12-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
