Ariana Grande’s ex Pete Davidson ‘already covering up his tattoo tributes to ex-fiancee’ days after the split

The singer, 25, called time on her relationship with the SNL funnyman, 24, last week and now the Sun Online understands that Pete is already getting rid of any trace of her from his life.

Displaying a sign of things to come, Pete's Dangerous Woman bunny ears tattoo, which he got to honour Ariana, was notably transformed into a heart when they were last pictured together on October 10 in NYC.

Following their broken engagement, a source told Sun Online: "Both Pete and Ariana are heartbroken over the split.

"Of course, they could give it another try, but it seems really final. Pete is already getting his tattoos he got for Ariana covered up with other inkings.

"It must be tough seeing the matching tattoos they got together on his skin every day."

Pete has three tattoos in total dedicated to Ariana; the bunny ears, her initials "AG" on his thumb, and "Grande" etched down his rib cage.

But that's not all as the comedian and his former flame also got four matching tatts throughout their five-month relationship.

They both got a cloud etched on their finger, "reborn" written on their hands and an acyronym of Ari's favourite phrase "H2GKMO", which stands for honest to god knock me out.

In tribute to Pete's late father, Scott, who died in the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers, Pete had his father's badge number, 8418, tattooed on his arm, which Ariana recently had inked on her ankle.

Rounding up his inkings during their romance, Pete also got a tattoo of the pet pig, Piggy Smalls, they adopted together on his stomach.

Previously, the American TV star, who has 44 tattoos in total, seven of which are Harry Potter inspired, was warned about his ink dedications to Ariana by tattoo artist Jon Mesa, who covered his tattooed to ex Cazzie David.

Speaking to Page Six, he said: "I did a huge cover-up. After we were done, I told Pete, 'Hey, dude, let’s just stop with the girlfriend tats until after [Ariana's] your wife.'

"Because relationships come and go, and Pete is a really young man."

The comments come after Ariana admitted she is feeling "very sad" and was just "trying very hard to keep going" in the wake of her break up.

In an Instagram story, which has since been deleted, she wrote: "Time to say bye bye again to the internet for jus a lil bit. It's hard not to bump news n stuff that I'm not tryna see rn.

"It's very sad and we'e all tryin very hard to keep goin. love u. and thank you for bein here always."

Her brief comments come after it was revealed Ariana, who recently lost her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, had returned the £76k rock to Pete.

It's claimed the chart-topper has given him back his 3.03 carat diamond set in platinum band back after he proposed with the sparkler in June.

The ring, which took weeks to make and was made especially for Ariana, was reportedly handed back to the Saturday Night Live star as soon as Ariana ended their romance.
