Real Housewives of Orange County‘s OG Tamra Judge and newbie Braunwyn Windham-Burke became fast friends on Season 14 of the series, following an impromptu makeout sesh that left viewers everywhere in shock. Tamra even joked on camera at the prospect of Braunwyn replacing her frenemy, Shannon Beador, in the trifecta she and partner-in-crime Vicki Gunvalson aptly dubbed “Tres Amigas.” Something tells us Shannon wasn’t too happy after viewing that particular scene, but alas, we digress…
As we all know, reality television friendships, especially in the land of Real Housewives, can be both fast and fleeting. So, are Tamra and Braunwyn still friends following Tamra’s abrupt exit from the Bravo show? Or did their friendship last only as long as the cameras were rolling?
Keep reading after the jump to find out the status of Tamra and Braunwyn’s friendship, as well as Braunwyn’s thoughts on the new season following the exit of longstanding OC ladies Tamra and Vicki.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke says it's been 'easier' filming without Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson
During an interview with Us Weekly in April of 2020, Braunwyn Windham-Burke spilled all the tea about Season 15 of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County and her standing with former castmate Tamra Judge. Braunwyn spoke candidly about the upcoming season admitting that it’s been “easier” filming without OG housewives, Tamra and Vicki Gunvalson.
“I can only answer that for myself — for me, it makes it a lot easier. I do love Tamra. I’ve always gotten along with Tamra. Even now, we still text. So, I do miss her, but I think it’s been really nice because a lot of the group dynamics were forced to switch,” Braunwyn explained. She also added, “I personally, feel so much closer to everyone that I’m filming with this season than I did last season.” Ooh, sounds an awfully lot like shots fired, right?!
However, Braunwyn quickly followed up by saying, “I feel like it just made it a lot easier to open up to everyone because everyone was sort of finding their place again.” She added that her relationships just felt “much more authentic.” And there ya have it folks, straight from the horse’s — er, we mean housewife’s mouth. While Braunwyn still considers herself to be a friend of Tamra’s, she doesn’t necessarily miss her presence on the show.
Whether or not viewers will miss Tamra and Vicki’s presence is TBD, of course.
