Angelina Jolie appears to make dig at Brad Pitt with cryptic new tattoo after ex wins joint custody of kids in divorce

ANGELINA Jolie has got a cryptic new tattoo that appears to be a dig at her ex Brad Pitt after their bitter custody battle.

The actress, 46, added a quote from Galileo Galilei on her forearm and revealing the inking while out in New York last week.

Angelina's tattoo reads "Eppur si muove", which translates from Italian to "And yet it moves".

The quote is from 1633, when Galileo was forced to take back his (true) statement that the Earth moves around the sun.

The scientist's phrase served as a defiant assertion that the truth will one day come out.

The Maleficent star's latest tattoo sits above a quote from a poem by Rumi that reads, “There exists a field, beyond all notions of right and wrong. I will meet you there".

Angelina – who is said to be "reconnecting with her ex Jonny Lee Miller – has dozens of tattoos all over her arms and back, ranging from a Bengal tiger to a Buddhist spell and the co-ordinates of where her children were born.

The new inking comes after Brad was granted joint custody of his children with Angelina last month.

They share six children – Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.

While Brad is thrilled by the decision, a source close to the drama has revealed the Tomb Raider star is “bitterly disappointed.”

Speaking to Us Weekly, the insider said: “She will never forgive him. She maintains it’s far from over and still believes that justice will prevail.”

In regards to the ruling, the source added: “Angelina’s testimony lacked credibility. The decision was based on extensive testimonies from people who spent time with the kids and by highly respected professionals.”

Following years of acrimony, Judge Ouderkirk ruled that he did not believe the allegations about Brad’s behaviour and ordered him to be given access again – split 50/50 with his ex.

The ruling followed almost five years of the Oscar-winner attempting to win equal rights to their six children.

It previously reported that Maddox appeared to take Angelina's side as he spoke during their lengthy custody battle.

The former golden couple of Hollywood split in 2016 after 12 years together, with the Tomb Raider actress citing “irreconcilable differences” on the divorce papers.

The split followed an incident on a plane when Brad allegedly lost control of himself and clashed with son Maddox.

Following a review, the FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family cleared the actor of any wrongdoing.

It was previously revealed Angelina and Brad have "each spent $1MILLION" in their bitter five-year divorce battle and custody war.

The case saw months of witness testimony, including from child services experts and therapists.
