‘Ambitions’: Brian Bosworth, Deena Dill, Gino Anthony Pesi & Kayla Smith To Recur On OWN Drama Series

Brian Bosworth (What Men Want), Deena Dill (Conrad & Michelle, Vice Principals), Gino Anthony Pesi (Shades of Blue, 42) and Kayla Smith (Star, Black Lightning) are set for recurring roles on OWN’s Ambitions, a soapy family drama from producer Will Packer, Lionsgate and Debmar-Mercury. The series starring Robin Givens and Essence Atkins is set to premiere in 2019 on OWN.

Created by executive producer/writer Jamey Giddens (The Rich and The Ruthless) from an original idea by Packer, Ambitions is a multigenerational family saga centered around one woman (Atkins) who, having recently relocated and intent on revitalizing her marriage, finds herself going head to head with some of the most powerful and deceitful players in the city.

Bosworth plays Hunter Purifoy, a savvy, pharmaceutical scion and the leader of Purifoy Pharmaceuticals, who is in the throes of combating a class action suit brought by the powerful Carlisle law firm family. Hunter is very pleased to have brought in lawyer Titus Washington (Kendrick Cross), and clearly expects great things from him.

Dill portrays Juniper Purifoy, the wife of Hunter Purifoy (Bosworth), owner of Purifoy Pharmaceuticals.

Pesi is Greg Peters, an aggressive, self-confident, real estate developer who’s trying to get Rondell Lancaster (Brely Evans) to sell him the family restaurant so he can use the block in an upcoming development plan.

Smith plays Carly Lancaster, the smart, determined daughter of attorney Stephanie Carlisle (Robin Givens) and Atlanta Mayor Evan Lancaster (Brian White). Carly is a theater student at Spelman College.

Will Packer is executive producer of Ambitions, and Kevin Arkadie is EP/showrunner. Writer Jamey Giddens and Will Packer Media’s Sheila Ducksworth also serve as executive producers. The series is produced for OWN by Will Packer Media in association with Lionsgate and its producer-distributor Debmar-Mercury.

Bosworth is represented by Jeffrey Leavitt Agency. Dill is represented by Talent Trek Agency, RCM Talent & Management and attorney Shannon Hensley. Pesi is represented by Abrams Artists Agency and Principal Entertainment LA.
Smith is repped by TalentWorks, People Store and Rothman Andrés Entertainment.
