Netflix sci-fi series Altered Carbon has been cancelled after two seasons on the platform. Here’s everything fans of the show need to know about why this was.

Why has Altered Carbon been cancelled by Netflix?

Altered Carbon returned for its second season on Netflix earlier this year as viewers were left hooked by the sci-fi drama once again.

However, it has now been confirmed by Deadline this is the final outing of the show as it has been cancelled.

According to the publication, the decision was not made in relation to the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19 but was due to “the streamer’s standard viewership vs cost renewal review process.”

The news also follows after Netflix cancelled two other series recently – The Society and I Am Not OK With This due to issues linked to the pandemic.

Express.co.uk has also reached out to Netflix for comment about why Altered Carbon was cancelled.
