A Place in the Sun guests gobsmacked after host reveals 'secret room'

A PLACE in the Sun guests were left gobsmacked after host Jean Johansson revealed a secret room in one of her property choices.

The property expert was on a mission to find Surrey couple Ravin and Pritti their dream home in the Gran Canaria.

With their two children all grown up, IT sales executive Ravin and pensions administrator Priti thought it's the perfect time to make the move abroad to one of Spain’s Canary Islands.

The married couple told Jean they wanted three bedrooms, two bathrooms and balcony – and it had to be under £180,000.

The property search didn't get off to the best of starts.

Priti and Ravin weren't keen on the three-bed duplex located in Las Palmas, which was priced at £183,053.

However, things started to look up after Jean's second choice.

The traditional detached house in Las Palmas, located in the neighbour of San Juan ticked a lot of their boxes.

It boasted three spacious bedrooms, a sunny solarium and two bathrooms.

As Jean showed them the master bedroom, Priti couldn't hide the smile on her face.

She said: "Oh, my God, it's lovely. I love the light coming in here. I love the decor."

Jean commented on how much storage space there is in the room and she replied: "I've got at least 50 to 60 pairs of shoes, so I'll need the space."

The the property expert replied: "I can help you out…"

Jean pushed back the mirror next to her and revealed an amazing walk-in wardrobe.

Priti said in shock: "Oh, my God! I love that, I can have all my shoes.

"You can have one side, Rav, and the rest is mine…"

But the amazing wardrobe wasn't enough for them to make an offer.

They fell in love with the fourth property, a four-bed house in Moya, which was priced at £141,593.

Ravin and Priti put in a "cheeky offer" of £120,000, but it was rejected.

An offer of £126,000 was finally accepted at the end of the Channel 4 show.
