'90 Day Fiancé': Karine Martins Calls the Cops and Paul Staehle Threatens Custody Battle, Claims Martins Violated CPS Case

90 Day Fiancé couple Paul Staehle and Karine Martins just had a massive blowout. In an intense altercation, Staehle wound up taking Pierre’s travel documents and keeping them for himself, afraid that Martins would try to leave the country with their son. With the police arriving in the background after a call from Martins, the two continued to argue, and Staehle threatened a custody battle over Pierre. He went on to allege that Martins has violated an open CPS case against her.

The police arrive at ‘90 Day Fiancé’ couple’s home

The 90 Day Fiancé star’s recording was captured by blogger John Yates. With the police at the house, Staehle asks, “What are you accusing me of Karine? I wanna know. Why did you call the cops? I want to know why you called the cops.”

Karine Martins replied in the background, “Because you’re bad.”

Staehle replied, “Tell me what I did that was bad.”

Martins went on to say she doesn’t feel safe with Staehle. Staehle then asked if he’d ever hit her or assaulted her. Staehle’s mother yelled something in the background, and Staehle said, “No she wants to take my baby and run off? No, absolutely not, she’s not doing it. Absolutely not.”

Staehle also mentioned an ongoing CPS case going on that Karine Martins seems to be involved in. To the cops, Staehle said, “I have cameras in this house, you can check my security cameras, I’ve done nothing wrong. I’m not having her rob my son, not again. She ran off and drank beer and had sex with a random guy before with my son, and I had to fight for him. CPS has an open case already, you can look up CPS on the computer, but no.”

The police asked Staehle an indistinct question, and Staehle replied, “I do not feel safe here with an open CPS case, no. She has an open CPS case with CPS.”

The police went on to inform the family that they were not the people to call in order to handle a CPS case, and that they were not sure what else Staehle and Martins needed them for.

Paul Staehle threatens a custody battle

During the heated moment, Paul Staehle threatened his 90 Day Fiancé wife with a court battle over their child, concerned that she’d try and remove him from the United States. To prevent this from happening, Staehle took Pierre’s documents and kept them for himself.

Staehle told Martins that if she wanted to press the issue, he’d be willing to take it to a judge for arbitration. “No, no, you are not taking my son out of the country, absolutely not. You’re not taking my son anywhere at all. You’re not getting his documents, I’ll talk to a lawyer.”

He went on to add, “If I have to, I’ll release him to a judge. Or I’ll put him in custody with Protective [Services]. But I’m not giving you my son’s documents, absolutely not.”

“CPS has a case against you already Karine. You violated your CPS case, and if I have to go before a judge on that, I’ll go before a judge, because you violated your CPS case, okay?” he added.

‘90 Day Fiancé’ fans react to the altercation

90 Day Fiancé fans were shocked by the altercation, with many of them concerned about Pierre’s well-being. Fans seem split on who to believe, given Staehle’s erratic behavior in the past.

One Instagram user commented, “My opinion… and that is strictly what it is [because] I’m certainly no [Jesse Meester] is that — they both have mental health issues and together/separately cause toxicity in the home where that poor child resides. What is evident is both Paul & Karine are lazy AF. Nothing is laughable here and honestly, I could not continue watching once I heard that sweet baby boy in the background.”

Another user suggested Paul was blowing things out of proportion, writing, “If there’s a CPS case against her, it’s because he’s probably the one that called on her. We’ve all seen her take care of the baby. Paul always over exaggerates everything. This is not healthy for the child to see all this.”

However, one commenter agreed that Karine would try to take Pierre back to Brazil. They added, “He’s got a point though. If she gets those documents she’ll take off back home and good luck ever getting a court there to let him see his son. If there is a court order from CPS he is smart not to let her. It’s useless over there.”
