APRIL is the perfect time for a holiday, thanks to cheaper deals ahead of the summer holidays.

We've rounded up the hottest destinations you can travel to without breaking the bank this year.

Thankfully, many countries in Europe are much warmer than the UK in April.

Spain, Greece and Portugal all boast temperatures in the early 20s, while North Africa such as Morocco and Egypt are much hotter.

Fancy a holiday a bit further away? Mexico is a great long-haul holiday option with flights and hotel deals from £600.

Here are some of the destinations you should book for your next holiday.

Spain – 23 degrees

Avoid mainland Spain and head to the islands where temperatures can be around the early 20s.

Lanzarote and Tenerife see much warmer temperatures than the Spanish coastline.

A week in Tenerife will set you back £192 per person when flying with Ryanair.

Similar prices can be found in Lanzarote for £195 per person.

Morocco – 26 degrees

Marrakech, in North Africa, has temperatures around the mid-20s in April, making it more pleasant than the UK.

There are also some massively cheap deals with Teletext Holidays, such as seven nights bed and breakfast as well as return flights for just £168 per person.

Ryanair have nonstop flights to Marrakech starting from just £28 each way.

Even one of the most Instagrammable hotels in Morocco will set you back just £13 a night.

Turkey – 22 degrees

Turkey is a cheap destination thanks to the strong pound against the lira.

It also remains warm during spring, around 22 degrees.

Bodrum holiday deals will only set you back £150 per person, with seven nights and return flights included thanks to On The Beach.

You can also take the stress out of eating, with a sea-front, all-inclusive package for £201 per person.

Greece – 22 degrees

The best island to head to in April is the Greek island Kos.

Due to being one of the southern islands, it can be up to 22 degrees in the day, while the sea remains around 18 degrees.

A couple's holiday will cost you just £180 per person for a week, as well as a family holiday with the kids.

Egypt – 38 degrees

Egypt has one of the hottest temperatures closest to the UK in April, up to 38 degrees in some parts of the country.

Flights to regions such as Cairo or Sharm El Sheikh take between four to five hours, meaning you don't have to go far for some heat.

Egypt is also one of a cheap package holiday destinations.

LoveHolidays has a seven-night break at Sharm el Sheikh including return flights for £365 per person at a four star resort.

All-inclusive deals are just as cheap, starting from £389 per person.

Mexico – 37 degrees

If you want to go further afield, Mexico is also a great choice in April, although may be too hot for some with temperatures around 37 degrees.

Bargains include seven nights at a four star hotel including flights for just £603 per person, along with breakfast.
