A SIMPLE travel item that costs just £6 will mean you’ll never get stopped by airport security again.

See-through plastic toiletry bags are currently on sale online for just £5.59, down from their regular price of £6.99.

The resealable bags measure 20cm x 20cm and are advertised as being “100 per cent waterproof and leakproof”.

An Amazon advert says: “100 per cent Airport Security Compliant: Our travel toiletries bags meet all requirements of airport security for carry-on liquids bag.”

“Handle good and sturdy. Easy to close and open. Also used as make up bag for handbag when on holiday.”

However, not everyone was so pleased.

One disgruntled customer posted: “Arrived and was happy till I tried to separate them.

"They were stuck together and when I did eventually manage to separate them, they were not clear but rather cloudy with a sticky kind of residue on them.

“Not able to use them and so are returning them.”

Someone else said: “It simply does not hold as much as the free bags given away at airports.

“I'd guess it holds about half a litre, not 1 litre.

“The plastic is thick and while it is about 20x20cm, it does not bulge out to accommodate all my liquids.”

Elsewhere, a flight attendant has revealed how you can get an upgrade without having to spend loads.
